Plan ahead for musical treats
Forewarned is fore-armed, as they say, and as early booking is vital if you fancy a major musical treat, here are some dates to give you a head start.
One of Malaga’s musical highlights of the year kicks off on June 25.
The Terral Festival takes place at the Teatro Cervantes and aims to bring together a world-class line-up representing a wide range of musical genres.
This year’s acts are:
June 25: The Magnetic Fields. 9.30 p.m., 20.30 euros
June 30: Diana Krall. 9.30 p.m., 60, 70, 80, 100 euros
July 6: James Blunt, 9 p.m., 45, 70 euros
July 8: Madeleine Peyroux, 9.30 p.m., 16, 24, 30, 40 euros
July 12: Erykah Badu. 9.30 p.m. 32, 48, 60, 80 euros
July 16: Lorena Mc Kennitt, 9.30 p.m., 20, 30, 38, 50 euros
July 20: Macy Gray, 9 p.m., 20, 30, 38, 50 euros
July 21: Lou Reed, 9.30 p.m., 60, 100 euros
For those who fancy incorporating a trip further afield, legendary singer Celine Dion is appearing on July 11 at Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona, and on July 13 at Palacio de Deportes, Madrid.
One of rock’s all-time greats, Bruce Springsteen, is due to perform at Camp Nou, Barcelona on July 20 with his backing group, the E Street Band.
Rock n roll legend Chuck Berry is appearing at the Teatro Axerquía, Córdoba, on Monday July 7, starting at 22.30.
In addition to Malaga, James Blunt is playing three further venues: July 3 at the Megapark, Barakaldo, (Bizkaia); July 7 at La Riviera, Madrid, and the following night, July 8, at Sala Razzmatazz, Barcelona .
A singer for the more up-to-date fans, Avril Lavigne, is appearing on June 15 at Pavelló Olímpic, Badalona (Barcelona).
Crowded House play the Parque de Fofo, Madrid, on July 2 at 10pm.
Lenny Kravitz is appearing at Pavello Olimpic, Badalona (Barcelona) on July 8 at 10pm.
