A great day was had by all at the Fashion Show and Clothes Sale in aid of Pepiīs Refuge on Saturday 29th March at the Camping Mony Restaurant in Fuente de Piedra. A grand total of 881 euros was raised thanks to all those who took part helping to make it a wonderful, successful day! Well over a hundred people gathered for a superb 3-course lunch of dishes such as Seafood Cocktail, Lentils, Pork or Swordfish with delicious desserts.
After lunch the Fashion Show was held with delightful voluntary models who raised cheers from all. These were Gillian, Sam (Solfinca), Sacha (mini model), Margaret, Michael and Lynn, Maggie, Christina, Brenda, Diane (Andalucian Auctions), Keith, Jason and mother and daughter team Debbie and Diane. Hilary took the mike to describe the designs while Brian Sanderson (Campillos) took photos.
After this there was a rush to pick up some real bargains in the New and Nearly new Clothes Sale. Alan gave a speech thanking all those who have supported the refuge, which now has 55 dogs, saying they could not have managed without such generous help. The whole event was well-organised and thoroughly enjoyable. Special thanks are given to both Linda and Hilary for their hard work.
Donīt miss the forthcoming events in aid of the refuge. On Friday 11th April there is a Quiz and Competition in Katz Bar, Humilladero. On Wednesday 23 April there is a St. Georgeīs Day Ball in Fuente de Piedra so shake out your gladrags for a great time! Meanwhile, there will be a Grand Open Day at Pepiīs Refuge in Pedrera on Sunday 11th May between 1 and 5pm. Come and join the party and see how the money you have helped to raise has been spent!
Visit Pepiīs Refuge on Monday 21st April and take your dog along for a very special Dog Grooming Session between 10 and 2. This is a great opportunity to raise money for the refuge and have your dog beautifully groomed by expert Juanni from Pompones! The cost of the session will be 25 euros which includes a 4 euro donation to the refuge. Some of the lucky residents of the refuge will also get a treat and no doubt will look even more appealing and be snapped up by someone! Donīt miss this opportunity and have a great day out too!
