Hello, welcome to Spain! At last, you have arrived and all your problems concerning moving are finally over! It wasn’t easy, we know. And you are now in Spain relaxing and enjoying yourself!
Unfortunately, only too soon you realise you are mistaken and things here are not as easy as you expected them to be. You keep facing problems you never even thought about – even installing a new telephone line can be such a headache! And the problem is you are not sure who to ask or where to find help!
Stop torturing with your questions all your English speaking friends! You can simply ask M.E. Express!
Since M.E. Express opened its office in 2002, they have been helping foreign people living in Spain, so by now they have solutions to most of your problems. A little advice - before you actually move to Spain, just come to see M.E. Express or give them a call – you will know what has to be done in your home country before you move. Later, once you are here, they will help you with the rest of documentations and registrations.
The very first thing to be done in Spain is to get an NIE number for every member of the family. Later you might need a “Residencia” registrations. But please, don’t rush with the second registration. These are two totally different documents (although many people mistakenly think they are the same) and have different status here in Spain.
