Written by Elizabeth Partridge

The one thing English people miss more than anything when they are abroad is Fish and Chips. Lucky people who live in or near Puente Don Manuel, for in that delightful village near Lake Vinuela, Richard and Olivia run the Town Frier, a traditional English Fish and Chip Shop with cod, haddock and scampi, pies and sausages and all the usual extras such as pickled onions, eggs and gherkins. Now they also have donner kebabs, a very popular addition to the Town Frier fare. Opening times will change for the Summer so call to confirm these. So, if you are en route from Velez-Malaga to Zafariah, visiting Lake Vinuela or live nearby, call and enjoy delicious, traditional food from the Town Crier.
