It seems that word might be getting around, not least with a little help from this illustrious publication, that we don´t have to spend all our or time in a car driving around the length and breath of inland Andalucia or risking life and limb on the coast road (otherwise known as The Valley of Death!) trying to find everything for our new home. Also, that we don´t have to pay coast prices for what we need here inland. More newcomers from the North of Europe now settling inland have discovered the great things that Rusola, located in Humilladero near Antequera, has too offer, not to mention the great prices and monthly special offers.

The store is undergoing a total revamp, organized by Jan, an Englishwoman who has settled in the area. The ground floor redesign is now almost complete – next comes the upper floor, which in true Spanish fashion had some fantastic things trying their darndest to hide from prospective buyers. Jan will sort this soon.

Jan has introduced more North European thinking to the displays so that visitors to the store see many complementary things in an ´environment´ rather than have to select individual items and then try to visualize them together in a specific home. Judging by the comments from both Spanish and non Spanish visitors to the store the new layout is proving a success.

And not only Brits and the Irish are discovering what Rusola has to offer. A pioneering German couple, typically very demanding in terms of quality, range, availability and service, who recently settled in the area, expected their son who lives and works on the coast to arrange everything for their new house, But what Heinz and Erika found that Rusola could do for them (with some help from Jan) quite astonished them, but in a nice way. Heinz (the decision maker) little by little found that Rusola could do the lot, and at prices his son on the coast couldn´t match. Apart from some major items of furniture from Rusola Heinz needed lots more. Firstly he wanted the gas boiler removed and a new, larger electric boiler installed. Rusola did it immediately. Then he wanted air conditioning throughout the house. Comparing prices not only on the coast but also from local suppliers he determined that the best deal was with Rusola, so they got that work too. Satisfied with this quality installation he then embarked on the kitchen, as the bread making machine and the camp fire was obviously not enough. Rusola again.

No self respecting ex-pat, wherever they come from can do without TV from home, so a satellite TV set up was next on the list. Yes, you´ve guessed it: Rusola again, albeit German TV for Heinz.

How much more could Jan help them with? Well, we´ve all heard about the excellence of German engineering and Heinz is no exception. He had ideas of a major rustic timber construction at the back of his house, basically a large pergola and an extension to his garage. Rusola will be doing all of this, coordinating the whole project through their own carpentry shop and a local builder. In fact the only thing that Heinz has not used Rusola for are the security gates to his house. But then even that was done by the brother of Rusola´s owner.

You see, as Jan said a couple of months ago about Rusola, ´All you see is NOT all you get!´ Why not visit the store or give Jan a call on 692 845 655.
