Panache Hair and Beauty was established in 2003 by Libby Kinsella (CIDESCO, BABTAC) in Alhaurin el Grande. Beginning as a standard hair and beauty salon, Panache soon developed a great reputation for listening to their clients and responding to their needs and thus additional services have been added to the salons portfolio ever since. The range of services is unrivalled in the inland area and can only be matched by a very few salons on the coast. The hair styling and standard beauty treatments of massage, facials, waxing etc, have now expanded to include medicated foot care, chiropody, nail sculptures and extensions, semi-permanent make up, skin consultations, dietary and nutritional consultations, laser hair removal, eye care, spray tanning, detox and, from February of this year, restylane, thread vein removal, perlane, botox, hydrafill and collagen. In 2006, Libby launched the Panache Training Academy, offering opportunities for people to be trained in beauty techniques obtain a certificated diploma and thus begin a career in the beauty industry. Starting off with a Nail Technicians course, Panache now offers a full portfolio of beauty related training. The students get the opportunity of practising within a real salon environment as part of the training and also learn the basic techniques of salon management. Students can then either apply their new skills by obtaining employment in a beauty salon, or by setting themselves up as a mobile technician. All courses are currently being assessed for NVQ and Beauty Guild accreditation. With a maximum class size of 4, students are guaranteed one to one attention and there is no "conveyor belt" style approach to the classes.
