Having problems with your car? Now you can call on Lee, a mobile vehicle mechanic and your problems will be sorted. Lee, from Somerset, England, talked to us about his new business. Local Connections: So, what exactly do you do?
Lee: Basically, I repair vehicles, from cars to light commercials. I’m a trained motor mechanic and mobile valeter. I have my own Mercedes Van which contains all my tools and equipment, including a workbench. I do repairs, full services, ITV inspections, fault finding and specialist welding.
L.C: What area do you cover?
Lee: Campillos and all surrounding towns. If people call and give me an idea of the problem, I can sometimes advise them over the phone. Otherwise, I’ll take details and go to their home. There’s not a call out fee if I do the job, though I recently had to charge one when an owner needed to return his car to the garage where it had had a new clutch fitted.
L.C: What about obtaining any necessary parts?
Lee: I’m building up my contacts and am looking for somewhere to obtain car parts at a cheaper cost to my customers. Most villages and towns have garages where I can find what I need.
