Building Promoters, Nina and Billy, run the company Kontiki Invest S.L. from Ardales, providing delightful, small developments of luxury houses and some small apartments, in the area of Campillos and Ardales. We met up with Nina to talk about their company. Local Connections: Can you tell us something about yourselves first?Nina: We first started coming to Spain, from Slovenia, 20 years ago, and bought a house in Perto Banus.
Later, we moved inland to Ardales where, for a while, we ran the Kontiki Restaurant. L.C: So how did you get into Property Development?Nina: First of all, I’m an architect and I’ve been working in Slovenia as a building promoter for 15 years. After discovering the potential for property development inland, around Mollina, Campillos and Ardales, it seemed natural for us, with our knowledge and experience, to work in this sphere.L.C: What projects have you been working on? Nina: We’ve completed a small development in Mollina, three houses in a mixture of styles, as well as five houses in Campillos and apartments in Ardales. Our houses are beautifully designed by a local architect and provide luxurious homes at affordable prices. L.C: What do you think are the advantages of buying properties in those particular areas? Nina: It’s a beautiful part of the country, so you have all the advantages of country living in beautiful scenery, yet you can easily access the coast, and inland cities such as Granada, Cordoba and Seville, by motorway. L.C: What kind of services do you offer those who wish to buy one of your homes?Nina: Well, we cover everything. We work closely with Real Estate Agents and banks, and we have an excellent, reliable team of accountants and lawyers to ease purchasers through the process of buying their own home. L.C: What plans do you have for the future? Nina: We are planning to build more properties in Ardales, up on the hill near the castle, which has amazing views over the countryside. It’s a lovely town to live in. We will also continue to develop the area around the lakes, providing delightful homes in great, natural surroundings.
