INSULATION AND POWER SUPPLY – 2 NEW PRODUCT SERVICES FROM EXTRAFLAME In fifteen years of heating installations throughout Andalucia, Extraflame has found one theme that runs common to many properties – the lack of adequate insulation. Whilst cavity walls and double glazing are desirable, up to 60% of all heat loss is through upper floor ceilings. Extraflame Espana is offering a post-construction service where sheets of polystyrene-backed plasterboard can be fixed to existing ceilings. Walls can also be dry-lined allowing cables and pipes etc to be run behind during refurbishments, especially to older properties.
Also, isolated rural properties can be subject to extreme voltage reduction. Last year, customers’ incoming supply was measured as low as 150 volts. This causes a potentially expensive problem where manufacturers refuse to uphold guarantees of products such as LCD/Plasma screens and computers. Extraflame Espana have resolved this problem by directly importing a technically sophisticated voltage regulator which can cope with differentials of 160 to 260volts, producing a regular sine-wave of 220volts. Extraflame will measure the voltage in suspect properties, fitting these units where necessary or desirable. With a capacity of 1.5kw, such products as computers and large screen tvs as well as all Extraflame installations are safe. Check out these and other Extraflame products at the Homes and Gardens Exhibition, 21-23 April, in Malaga. No one has commented on this article. |
