Everything is ‘absolutely fantastic’ at Arkwrights British Supermarket at the crossroads of Venta-Baja/Periana near Lake Vinuela. Linda and her husband have bought the house and business premises and have enlarged the shop. They now have room for many more products, including extra freezers for all your favourite frozen food. They have taken on more friendly, helpful staff and changed their hours. They are now open ‘all ‘ours’, including Sunday morning for newspapers, magazines and provisions.

Muffins, scones, teacakes and crumpets are a sell-out and they now have Iced Bakewell tarts that they don’t even have time to put on the shelves before they go! Other popular items are Cheddar Cheese, fresh back bacon and cream.

The big news is that Arkwrights now have a new range of bargain priced goods – high street names under a new brand name, so you know they’ll taste good. Curry Sauces at 1euro, tomato soup at 60c and jars of pickles. Check out their Arkwright ‘specials’ – 1 Citronella Candle at 50c or ‘fork ‘candles’ at 1.50 euros. They also stock new juices which are much cheaper yet are just as delicious as the popular brand names.

There is still a great demand for their top quality frozen meat such as turkey, gammon steaks, beef (absolutely superb!) pork and lamb chops. You can also order fresh meat.

They get new products every week, including locally produced fruit and vegetables and will search for requested items.

So, for new opening hours and great products at unbelievably low prices, pop along to Arkwrights British Supermarket for excellent value and friendly service.
